Booking Conditions
All reservations are made for Riverside Shuttle (Riverside) by EWP (Factpass LTD) on their secure site subject to the following conditions:
  1. There shall be no contract made between Riverside and EWP (Factpass LTD) and the person(s) on whose behalf the booking may have been made (the clients) until:
  2. Cancellations Should you wish to cancel your booking advise us in writing immediately. If cancellation is notified less than 8 weeks before departure, the following % of the programme fee will be retained by us: 8-5 weeks, 25%; 4-3 weeks, 50%; 2-1 weeks, 75%; Thereafter, 100%. We reserve the right to cancel a service at any time prior to 2 weeks before departure in such case we will refund any moneys paid to us. In such case no further compensation will be paid.
  3. We will suggest a suitable alternative and advise you immediately. Should the alternative result in travelling on different dates or at diferent times which are not suitable to you, you may withdraw from the booking with full refund of all moneys paid, provided we are notified within 7 days. This offer does not apply to simple schedule changes nor amendments to schedules caused by civil strife, war, riots, weather or technical delays, strikes, national disasters or emergency or for any other reason over which Riverside and their agents have no control.
  4. Should civil strife, war, riots, weather or technical delays, strikes, national disasters or emergency or for any other reason over which the Riverside and their agents have no control, delay or extend the trip, Riverside and their agents cannot accept liability for any resulting loss, damage or expense. Any refund will then be subject to deduction of reasonable expenses.
  5. Should such events as listed in 4. occur prior to scheduled departure Riverside and their agents will try to offer alternative arrangements, or if this is not possible or acceptable, refund all moneys paid less any reasonable expenses.
  6. Release and Assumption of Risk The journey you are participating in under the arrangements of Riverside and their agents involves certain risks and dangers, including, but not limited to the hazards of travelling on rough roads, subject to the forces of nature. Riverside and their agents and staff will be held harmless from any and all liability, actions, causes of action, debts, claims, and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever which have or may arise of or in connection with the journey. These terms shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for the participants' heirs, executors and administrators and for all members of the participants family, including any minors.
  7. Insurance You are required to take out an insurance to provide adequate cover for medical expenses, personal accident, loss of baggage and curtailment or cancellation of trip. It is the responsibility of all individuals to finance on-the-spot medical treatment and other contingencies, then to reclaim this from their insurance on return, and to ensure that they have adequate protection for expensive equipment. Please keep details of all the documentation which may be necessary when making a claim.
  8. These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed in all respects by Tanzanian law and only Tanzanian Courts shall have jurisdiction in relation to any claim or dispute arising out of or connected with them or any such contract.
  9. No servant or agent of Riverside can vary the conditions of Riverside and any such variation shall be of no effect unless it has been signed by a director of Riverside.
  10. Disputes If you have cause for complaint while on your journey you must bring it to the attention of Riverside's local representative/agent who will do their best to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action whilst on the journey but then to write a letter of complaint upon return. However, should a problem remain unresolved a complaint should be made within 28 days of the completion of the jpurney. Please remember to quote your booking reference number. If any complaint cannot be settled amicably you may refer any dispute relating to this contract to an arbitrator.
  11. Tickets and timings All references to departure times in our brochures are for your guidance only and are subject to amendment. In these cases Riverside and their agents will not be responsible for additional costs incurred by clients travelling to and from the point of departure except as a result of material changes to their departure details.
  12. Please bear in mind accidents, mechanical breakdowns, police and border checks and other events may affect the length of the journey. Allow at least two hours for such events if you have onward connections to make.

Meeting Instructions

In the arrivals hall a Riverside representative will look out for you. However it is best to wait in the Paul Cafe/Restaurant. The Riverside bus usually stops outside but there can be last minute changes due to unforeseen circumstances. It is your responsibility to be at the bus at least 15 minutes before the departure since the bus will not wait. Please provide us with your flight details.

The bus is loaded and departs near the Parkside Hotel on Monrovia Street. Report to the bus at least 15 minutes before departure especially if you have bulky luggage.

Hotel Transfers
We will meet you or drop you off at any hotel in Nairobi or Moshi within a 5km radius of our office. We must know in advance where you are to be picked up and you should be ready to travel at the hotel reception 30 minutes before the scheduled departure of the service.

Riverside Privacy Policy
Any information you send is transferred to us on a secure server ensuring no third party is able to read it. We in turn only use the information you send: to process your credit card payment or to send you our products, information packages or tickets. We may, unless otherwise requested, send you newsletters by email or post - at most two or three times a year. Your information or data is never passed on to any other party by us.
